Meet The Board
The Rebus Board 2025 - 2026

Garth Dutton
Garth joined the Board in September 2023 to fill a vacancy as provided under the Society’s Rules. On the 2 December 2023 he was appointed Deputy Chair and was elected Chair at the 2024 AGM.
Rebus History:
Joined the Rebus Club of Hibiscus Coast in 2018, member of
committee from 2020, Vice President 2021, President 2022/23 and 2023/24.
Work History:
Police Officer 24 years, Telecommunications and Network
Computer Security, 12 years, Private Consultant in Electricity, Gas and water, 4
years, building industry, 10 years. Garth has a Diploma in Business Information
Systems and possesses competent computer and internet skills. He lives with wife Ruth at Army Bay on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula.

Paul Wilkinson
Paul has been a longstanding member of the Rebus Club of Hibiscus Coast. With wife Janette, has recently moved to Rangiora where he joined the Rebus Club of Papanui. Among his many talents is website development along with other IT skills. In recent years, he has acted as a Support Person to the Society assisting in the design and maintenance of the Rebus NZ Website. He continues to help those Clubs which do not have their own website, to have a page attached to the Rebus NZ site. Paul has recently accepted an invitation to become a member of the Society and at the 2025 was elected to the Board for a full term. Work History. British Telecom, 7 years, Plessey Traffic Systems, 20 years, Electrical Consulting Engineer, 6 years.

Janet Larkman
Secretary Elected to the Board as Secretary at the 2025 AGM. Janet is the immediate past president of the Rebus Club of Orewa. Qualifications. Janet is a qualified Registered Nurse (RN), Batchelor of Arts (BA) and Medical Education (Med)
Work History. She was a clinical RN for 25 years mainly at Auckland City Hospital. Worked with the Red Cross in Honk Kong while living there with her husband and on return to New Zealand became a nurse educator at AUT University until she retired in 2020.

George Tregidga
Immediate Past Chair
Re-elected to the Board May 2021.George with wife Carole lives in Tindall’s Beach.
He is a foundation member of Rebus NZ Inc and served on the Board for 2 years 2016 -
2018 when he stepped down to allow appointments from other parts of the country.
George returned to the Board at the 2021 AGM.
Rotary/Rebus history.
In addition to his Rotary service (President of Mangere Rotary 1988 - 89) George was the President of the Rebus Club of Hibiscus Coast in 2017 and was awarded a Life membership in 2020.

John McCall
Treasurer. John joined the Board in May 2024 to fill the vacant Treasurer’s position as provided under the Society’s Rules Rebus History.
Joined the Wairere Rebus Club of Wanganui in 2021 and became a member of the committee within 3 months. He took over the Treasurer’s role of that committee in December 2021 due to the incumbent becoming ill. He remained Treasurer until the Club closed in March 2024. He immediately joined the Pukenamu Rebus Club in Wanganui and was accepted in April 2024.
Work History. Auditor/accountant for 20 years, IT Computer Industry as a Programmer/Analyst for 20 Years. He is competent with a computer using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, cloud computing and internet skills. Lives in Wanganui.

Paerau Taylor-Mosen
Welcomed to the Board on the 16th November 2024 for the period up to the 2025 AGM at which she was elected to the board for a full term.
Paerau is a former President and Secretary of the Rebus Club of Wanganui and is currently the Club’s Newsletter editor, a position held for the past several years.
Work History. Hospital dietary assistant and the owner of 4 separate businesses during her working life. She was also a SeniorNet Tutor with excellent computer skills. Paerau lives in Wanganui with husband Brian.

Stephen Becket
Deputy Chair.
Elected to the Board at the May 2024 AGM. He is the current President of the Warkworth men’s Rebus Club which he joined in May 2021. His vigorous promotion of Rebus in his local community has resulted in a 50% membership increase. He hopes that some of the procedures used locally can be adopted by other Clubs. Qualifications. Stephen has an MA (in Military History), a Diploma of Project Management together with various Construction- associated qualifications.
Work history. British Army – Royal Engineers, Geotechnical consultant ending career as Global Construction Director for Worley Parsons, an Australian multinational.

Steve O'Sullivan
He now takes over the role of Club News Editor. Steve is Past president of both the Rebus Club of Cambridge and Rebus Club of Riverside Hamilton having joined both Clubs in 2018. In addition to being the Newsletter editor for each, he is also their “unofficial” photographer.

William Robert Irvine
William has been a member of Taupo Moana Rebus Club since its inception having transferred from the local Probus Group. He has served on the Rebus Committee and assumed the role of President and Past President’s role after a year as President.
William served most of his working life within the construction industry as a Tradesman, Building Inspector and Technical Adviser for the Building Research Association of NZ (BRANZ).
He holds trade qualifications in carpentry, joinery and drainlaying. New Zealand Certificates in Building and International Marketing. His Diplomas are Business Studies (Arbitration and Mediation) Massey University and Diplomas in Building Control Surveying (Small, Medium and Large Buildings)
William is currently Managing Director of Arbitration New Zealand Ltd a company offering consultancy services to the building industry and Local Government with building control specialities.
He has served on the Plumbers Drainlayers and Gasfitters Board, a statutory appointment, occupied the roles of Senior, chief Building and Chief Inspector and managed the Auckland area office of BRANZ prior to his current role within his company. He conducted safe boating courses in Taupo on behalf of Coastguard Boating Education for 14 years and remains a Coastguard volunteer.
