Rebus NZ is pleased to welcome the Avondale Ladies Rebus Club which has disaffiliated from Australia
Origins of Rebus
Rebus NZ Incorporated was incorporated in December 2015. This followed the punitive action taken by Probus South Pacific Ltd (PSPL) after successfully obtaining the trademark rights prohibiting the use of the Probus name by those Clubs who chose to disaffiliate from PSPL. Rebus NZ was accordingly established to provide an alternative for those which preferred to enjoy independence from Australia.
Holding fast to the principles upon which former Probus clubs were founded, is maintained by the adoption of a Rebus Constitution (Rules) which wholly enshrines those principles to which these Clubs have adhered for decades.
REBUS recognizes that Clubs should retain their autonomy and be free from any political influences leaving them to concentrate on the enjoyment of the fellowship and conviviality by the provision of services to "Seniors" for which the former organization had become known world-wide.
The board of REBUS is made up of Presidents, Past Presidents and Life Members who collectively, have decades of experience in their former Clubs and are totally dedicated to the creation of a new non-political Service Centre.
